Welcome to my personal page.
My name is Haizhou Gong (given name, family name). Now, I am a younng researcher and lecturer at Faculty of Animal Reproduction and Production, College of Animal Science and Technology, Yangzhou University. I was born in Xinyang, Henan Province, in 1996. I was rewarded a Doctorial Degree in Agriculture from Jilin Agricultural University in 2022.
My research interests focus on maternal effects in poultry/bird, and will also involve animal nutrition&immunity, intestinal developmental biology and microbiome. We hope to understand the mechanisms on genetic and/or non-genetic factors in phenotype plasticity, and aim to modulate animal phenotypes and health for the husbandry.
During my PhD, as the first author, I have published some articles in British Poultry Science, Poultry Science, Microbiome. For the more information, please refer to ResearcherID: JNE-3798-2023 in WOS, or ORCID: 0000-0003-3116-9821. My previous research is a serial stroy from observing to explaining maternal effect, the most exciting finding is the transfer of microbiome from the maternal reprodution system to the egg, which suggests that maternal microbiome is a role in the way of maternal effect achievement. Now, the subsequent study has received funding support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Yangzhou Unverisity.
We look forward to collaboration and communication.
