Chen Shiyin graduated from Tsinghua University and received PhD of History in 2017, used to be a visiting scholar at Harvard University(2021-2022), and now serves in Department of History, Yangzhou University, as a vice professor and a master tutor. He majors in Confucian classics and history in Ming and Qing dynasty.
He participated in some national research projects, for instance, The Recovery of I-Li and Reestablishment of Contemporary Daily Rituals, The Contrast Research Between China and Western Society in Ritual System.
Additionally, he has published several relevant papers in some well-known national periodicals and newspapers and some books, Annotations about The Book of Rites (Fudan press, 2018), Supplementary Remarks of Chen Hao’s Explanation about The Book of Rites (Anhui education press, 2020), From Duke Zhou to First Emperor of Qin: Autobiographies of 12 famous people (Lijiang press, 2019), Unstable Identity: A Brief History of Ming Dynasty Based-on Ritual System (Zhejiang Guji Press, 2021), The Smile of Wang Yangming: A Brief History of Ming Confucianism(Zhejiang Guji Press, 2023).
At present, he is engaged in holding a national research project, Study about Ritual System in Early Ming Dynasty, and another provincial research project, in Jiangsu province.
